Work out your estimated total driving distance per year, based on commute distance, working days and other driving.
This gives a rough but useful estimate of your total annual driving distance — useful for estimating fuel/electricity costs, planning service based on mileage, or considering whether a car with a longer or shorter range fits your driving pattern.
A typical work year has 52 weeks, minus vacation weeks and various public holidays/days off — 46 weeks is therefore a commonly used rough starting point. Feel free to adjust the number based on your own vacation and time-off schedule.
Everything besides the regular commute to and from work — for example leisure trips, shopping trips, visiting family and friends, and any vacation road trips. Check last year's odometer reading as a reference if you have it.
An estimate of annual mileage is useful for calculating approximate fuel or electricity costs, planning service and tire changes based on mileage, or considering whether an EV with a given range covers your driving needs.
