Calculate how many hours and minutes there are between two clock times — for example work hours, travel time or breaks.
The calculator converts both times to minutes since midnight, and finds the difference:
The decimal number shows hours as a decimal (e.g. 8.50 h instead of 8 h 30 min), useful for timesheets and invoicing.
Check the "overnight" box if the shift extends into the next day. The calculator will then add 24 hours to the end time before calculating the difference.
Many timesheets and payroll systems use decimal hours (e.g. 8.5 hours) instead of hours and minutes (8 h 30 min), so we show both.
